Team 7823 Double Negative
About Us
Team 7823 Double Negative is a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team. This team provides an opportunity for students to learn leadership, communication, teamwork, problem solving, time management, and how to use tools. This team allows 8th-12th grade students to participate. No experience is needed to join!
Every year on the first weekend in January, a new game is released. Students have to design, prototype, and program a robot to complete various tasks in a build season of 6-8 weeks. After the 6-8 weeks, the competition season begins. The team will then travel around the state to compete in two district events. After the district events, the top 200 teams will be invited to compete at the Michigan State Championship to compete to advance to the World Championship in Detroit.
The Challenge
The challenge for the 2020 season is called Infinite Recharge.
Two alliances comprised of three robots each, race to collect and score Power Cells in order to energize their Shield Generator. To activate stages of the Shield Generator, robots must spin their Control Panels after scoring a specific number of Power Cells. Near the end of the match, robots are to go to the Rendezvous Point to activate the Shield Generator by leveling the switch.
